A list of just some of the projects that the Exeter Woman’s Club has been involved with over the years:

  • Established a free Well Baby Clinic in the clubhouse for pre-school children
  • Planted more than 50 trees and shrubs in the city park
  • Helped organize the first Woman’s Club at the Tule River Reservation
  • Sent food and gifts to the children at the Reservation
  • Re-organized the Girl’s Auxiliary into the Jr. Woman’s Club
  • Sponsored the High School Girl Reserves
  • Donated food for needy baskets during the depression
  • Donated to the Red Cross, the Christmas tree fund, the Springville Swimming Pool Fund, the Exeter Chamber of Commerce, the high school band uniforms, the Iron Lung Fund and the Society for Crippled Children
  • Sent telegrams to Senators to support a new post office for Exeter
  • Sponsored free dances once a month for young people
  • Had Red Cross sewing and knitting classes
  • Donated the clubhouse for the TB Association and Red Cross work
  • Made bandages and surgical dressings for the war effort
  • Bought a total of $1,000 in war bonds
  • During the war gave nurses scholarships, wrapped Christmas gifts for the Red Cross to be given to wounded soldiers in hospitals and men at sea and labeled quilts for the Red Cross
  • Sponsored the first Boy Scout Cub Pack in Exeter 1946
  • Sponsored the first Brownie Troop in Exeter
  • Landscaped Exeter City Park
  • Donated to the Memorial Hospital Building Project
  • Donated to the March of Dimes, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and the Community Chest
  • Donated to the building fund for the new Exeter Cemetery sign
  • Donated to Friends of Residential Exeter Dogs to build Exeter's first Dog Park for it's citizen and their dogs
  • Annually host Mother/Daughter Tea for the Exeter High Senior girls and honor at least two scholarship recipients
  • Provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors
